Got a lovely new PC for Christmas. Just bought an external DVD writer so we can download DVD films. We then bought a DVD player to play them but it only plays JPEG format! The two sites we are using for download don't appear to provide JPEG...any ideas? (UK)

a dvd player that only plays jpeg? this must be a uk thing, never heard of it myself. if u live in uk u should be looking for PAL format. iso (bin-cue) or AVI. does it play bought or rented movies?

Yes, the player plays bought and rented DVDs as well as photographs we have burned onto CDs. I will try AVI to see if they work. Thanks.
