I normally follow this procedure:
1. Rip with DVD Fab
2. Shrink
3. Burn ISO with IMG

Lately I have been eliminating the Shrink step and the disc I burn sometimes do not play on my DVD player(magnavox) (i never had this problem b4)

Does Shrink do something that IMG doesn't. The disc will play on my other cyberhome dvd player, but that player plays just about anything!

buytick ,
Sounds like you have a player, DVD compatibility problem as they do play in the other player. What brand of blank media are you using? Shrink does nothing but transcode and compress the files.

This is probably your problem as CMC usually has no quality control

I will try one using Shrink and see if it plays.
I agree that Verbatim are better media.

AS long as your player is able to recognize all DVD formats, but if not stick to what the manufacturer suggests:

I would suggest using some "Branded" Taiyo Yudens, some Sony, TDK, "Branded" Ridata, "Branded " Verbatim DataLife Plus, Ritek G04 or any media that boasts "Advanced METAL AZO" - BUT it has to include the word "METAL". Your burner should have no problems with these disks and the player should be ok with them as well.

Use Anydvd and believe
