Weird problem with tv out

I got a radeon 9700 pro card, and used to watch movies and such on the tv using the tv out on the card. One day someone was smart enough to trip over the cable connecting the pc and tv so it broke. I couldn't find anyone who had the original cable, but I got hold of one that could work and pulled out one pin on it so it would fit, and it worked.

Under display in control panel it didn't show the tv as connected to the pc with this cable, but when I used the scheme I made earlier with the original cable it switched to the tv and worked fine.

Problem is now that I installed some new drivers and the scheme was lost. I need that scheme because I can't switch to the tv any other way, because in display it don't show the tv as connected.

Is there another program I can use to force it to switch to the tv or something? Because I know it works with this cable, it did earlier with the old scheme I had.

Or maybe someone has a scheme they use to switch to the tv and I could have that. It is located in the registry I found out.

Any help is greatly appreciated in this time of need.

By the way, when I use the default scheme, called "Switch amongst displays" the tv flickers once, maybe it's not set to PAL standard no more after I installed the new drivers. Is there a different way to change this besides doing it in the control panel under displays?
