Then I reset and I get 2 rings flashing,I wait awhile then it works for a bit then freezes up again,i tried doing a search but i seen no topic,Im using Verbadium(spelling) disks,and im not sure what firmware i got,and it is a banned console,any help?thanks in advance

You could try going to:
Dashboard -> System -> [Then choose] Initial Setup
That might work...
If not you could refresh your hard drive or get a new one.
[And XBL shouldn't have anything to do with it cause you don't need XBL to play XB360]
The disc also might be damaged [Unlikely if your getting 3 red rings]
You could also try calling mircosoft about the problem

Well treazus the same exact thing happened to me a couple weeks ago and i did the towel trick also and got it to work for a bit but like the next day my 360 wouldnt even start up even though it didnt have the 3 red lights anymore so i think you may be out of luck.

Ok, this is bullshit my 360 has started freezing every 5 minutes when playing games ironically. Does anyone know how many times the towel trick will work? Seems I may need to use this trick will soon. It's gonna be hard as hell to find a Samsung 360 if I get another one.
