Hey mike Since this is your forza thread I think you can post any details you want :)
But I would like to know some of the following. I shall start with your rwd car you mentioned. Now whats the basic to drifting. I know in project gotham you use the hand brake along with some acceleration?
I figure as long as I have a good training car then I should be set. The hardest part for me was wondering if I had the right car or not!

Alright i can list my setup for my 240. and the best way to drift is up to your style. there are lots of ways you can do it. check youtube for "drift bible" it teaches you the most common ways to drift, but its in real life. same concepts apply in forza though.

this is what my setup is and it may work for some of you guys and it may not. if it doesnt then just tweak settings around until you get it.

Well if it is true to form with other drifting games then there are about 3 different ways to drift. And which you will use depends on which you are most comfortable with. And i would say that good starter cars would be the one mikeismad mentioned and my fav, the RX-7 which is a drift machine once you get the hang of it. I have not even gotten into any drifting on the Fotza yet but have done a bit on other games so i should have the basics.
A great game to learn the basic, although it is a bit arcady is F&F Tokyo Drift which has video tutorials that show you all the basics of drifting and the different ways it can be done. It will not be nearly the same as driving in Forza but you can get down the basic pricipals. I will have to give some drifting a try.
Mikeismad, i do not think your on my friends list yet so send me an invite steimy69
I will most likely be playing a bit tonight to try and get better. Not sure i am ready for online yet unless you can just race with two players.

Since i see most of you are talking about the drifting aspect of the team i figured i would post a link to a helpful site that can teach you a few things about beginning to drift.

I am actually more interested in the regular track racing aspect. Although i would like to get into all the modes. But i need a lot of practice before i will be even close to the people who play online. They are just WAY to good for me to race. I can beat the CPU, but just barely. So i am looking more at some fun and some practice. And possibly learning a few tips and trick from people who can really play. I would be working my way up from the bottom for sure.
mikeismad, i saw you on last night when i was playing but i only had an hour to play so i didn't bother to contact you as that is only about 2 races. I was on Rainbow Six for a while, then switched to Forza 2. But anyone who want to i am on most (except some tuesday nights, like tonight) weeknights from about 5:30PM to 8PM EST. And also on the weekends at all different times.

the pre release date (pre-ordered copies) were out the end of last month.
And i am pretty much up for anything as far as what type of race. I want to learn and get good at them all, not just focus on one area. I would rather be ok and well rounded then great at just one thing.

I love the game, don't claim to be the greatest (far from it) but would be happy to get involved. I won't be playing online till Saturday though. Game ain't released in UK till 8th June and as I'm not banned yet I don't wanna take any additional risks.

(MS if your reading this I'll be using an unmodded console for online play, honest).
Prefer standard track racing.

OK, anyone going to be on tonight, say around 5:30 EST?
maybe they can teach me a trick or two.
If so i have a site just sitting around doing nothing. So just go here and sign up, then post in the Forza section and we can get some games going on.

EDIT:
I will be playing some Rainbow Six tonight, but told them i am out at 7PM so i can play Froza. So look for me around 7PM EST if you want to race mikeismad. You will whip me bad but i can take it, LOL
