Backing up means anything thats on your memory stick you dont want to lose, such as gamesaves, MP3's, etc...Copy it to your computer-because formatting the memory stick will erase the data on the memory stick.

Not that I am aware of-DO you have a Japanese psp?

In any event, you can go into recovery mode and change that so X is the button used for making selections again..Its under 'registry hacks'

ok i got everything to work now
but i have one other problem
i have a DNS error. like i can open up browser and everything but i just can't enable the WMA playback and the Flash player
do you know whats wrong?

You can also activate the WMA and the flash player via the recovery console as well-Otherwise double-check your wireless settings, make sure that you have your WEP key entered correctly..It sounds like you are getting that error because your connection is timing out.
