whats wrong with the config menu exactly?
can you not just change things back?
or try upgrating to 3.30oe? then go back to 1.5 from there n then back to 3.03oe-c if you wanna.

The only problem is i can't change it because the configuration menu it stuffed up when every i enter it, it just goes to the background colour no options or anything not even a back button and another question of mine would be is the recovery menu written into flash?

Flash1 is messed up. Get a flash1 formator thingy. Or just delete the whole damn flash1. Your psp will restore it for you.

#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

Not necessarily. For whatever reason, just reflashing firmware doesn't restore flash1.

Your flash1 is actually backed up in psp. In flash0 I believe. So when you delete flash1, your psp will recognize an altercation, and tries to restore it. You will get a blue screen of death after reboot, saying system files have been altered, asking if you want to restore it. Press yes, your psp will reboot, and flash1 reformatted
