For sometime i've had some RENDER speed problems in UVS7. I try one more time in asking.. Ok, See if this makes any sense to anyone? :(

What i've noticed with some of my renders (edited mpeg2 format files) is something that i've really never (really had to) pay any much att. to. My (Mark-ins & Mark-outs), I'm thinking SOME of my SLOW RENDERS are maybe because it has something to do with the hedders or even the type " I B frame" positions are something???
What I noticed is depending on where I actually make a start in cut for my "Mark-ins" especially that it will actually effect my final rendering speed outcome?
For say, I have a file thats a real slow rendering file? well if I take that same slow render file & edit it again with a New Mark-in location (& hitting a sweet spot) it will actually render out much run much faster than before.
So? Am I missing out & doing something way wrong here? I used to NEVER have these kind of render problems in UVS7 & im about fed up... Thanks

Well For Editing Mpeg files you are useing the Wrong software, UVS7 re-encodes your Files when it renders them and that is one reason why it takes so long and when it re-encodes the file it also greatly reduces the Quality of the File, so the better way to go about it is to use a Real Mpeg editor that does not re-encode the files when rendering..If you are Just cutting out spots and putting them somwere else with maybe some simple Transitions then you would be better off useing a Mpeg editor like Womble Mpeg2VCR ,it will Quickly edit and render your files without re-encodeing them so there is no Quality loss then when they are properly edited you can then use them to UVS7 to Author to SVCD or DVD...If you e-mail me I"ll send you a link to download this editor...Cheers
