Hey guys, I'm new to afterdawn, so I thought I'd just introduce myself. And now to my question:

If I want to look, move, and/or edit files on my 360 harddrive, what would be the best way to go about this?

I have heard you can open up your HD, and hook it up to your pc using SATA stuff. Is this the best way? Is it potentially dangerous?

Im not an expert at this sorta thing but I think there is although Im pretty sure it envolves opening your hard drive and connecting via SATA.If you google search it you should find something to do with it.BUT as I say im not an expert so im not 100% sure it is possible without out purchasing something to help you.

baily is right, just open the hard drive and connect it via sata to your motherboard and then use xplorer360 to view the files.
