Yeah, like I said your on your own here as I have no PSP I can't tell you what to expect. You should send a private message to touran22 and/or svtstang telling them your problem and asking there advice.

Question:
If you have 2 PSP's 2.71 downgraded to 1.50 then upgraded to 3.40 OE-A then format a memory stick and upload it with songs.
Can the memory stick be removed and loaded onto the other PSP? or will it brick the second PSP because is was formatted on the first one?
In other words can you switch memory sticks from one PSP to the other since they both had the same downloads and upgrades.

Got myself a PSP today :) Already got it at 3.03 OE-C w/ Recovery installed. Gonna try my hand at emulators. Anyone got any pointers and were to go with it? I am already trying out emulators and homebrew and iso's. Anybody got any good sites/guides about customizing?

bout time lol :)
heres a good site for custom xmb. http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstat...scending&page=1
make sure to run flash agent first to free up flash space. to install, read the readme. as for homebrew and emulators, i mostly google search the ones i want, but Qj.net seems ti be the majority shareholder of these, aldo check out romhustler. (google it)
i also reccomend upgrading to 3.40 oe-a. the only difference is needing to run the icons through an icon converter before installing them. (topmenu_plugin.rco is the icons)

stupid me!
I followed all the steps and installed 3.4 OE as well as the Recovery. Held R button upon reset and ran option 3, which restored it back to 1.5!
Stupid me. Anyway, once we run option 3 on the recovery? Does it delete? As in one-time use and then re-install?
I'm reflashing to 3.4 as we speak.
And just to clarify, Recovery is ONLY used when we need it to recover, right? Not install and use right afterwards, other than for tweaking, like a secret menu or something?

OH and btw, we SHOULD NOT format our memory stick after we install 1.5 Recovery, correct?

I think a lot of people press the R and end up back to 1.5.
This is why in an earlier post I asked if after installing the recovery mode and pressing the R by mistake (because it doesn't state not to do so unless it's an emergency) then reinstalling 3.40 OE-A, if once again the recovery mode should be reinstalled or does it automatically stay installed from the first time.
I'm still confused whether to reinstalled the recovery again or not.

Before you go about installing any custom firmware or messing with the PSP lets make this clear for everyone. You are currently at firmware 1.5 correct?
If so post back as I have links to easy installers for 3.03 OE-C, 3.40 OE-A, and 1.5 Recovery Mode.
Please could you send me the links for the easy installers and the recovery folder?
Thank you
Ed

I followed the guide and all looked good until I restarted my PSP. It looks normal until I press a button and then the screen goes black for about a minute or so then comes back on. Then when I press another button button it does the same thing. I opened the drive and found out I had a UMD in there. Is all lost or can I fix this problem? Plz help!

Thx guys I upgraded to 3.40 OE-A with no problems. I tried installing the 1.50 recovery but got nothing but a corrupt data icon on my mem stick. I thought it might be because the files were being copied to the game folder so i moved em to the game150 folder and still the corrupt data icon. I tried re installing a few times with the same outcome. ANy suggestions?

There will not be a icon for the 1.5 Recovery in the game menu. It is a standalone "program" that can downgrade your PSP in the chance of a brick. So first format your memory stick and then reinstall the 1.5 Recovery files (using the 1.5 Recovery Easy Installer). Now that you have done that you will be able to save your PSP(usually) in the chance of a brick. And on another note the corrupt data icons are commonly caused by homebrew games. But their is a option in the recovery menu to hide the corrupt data icons.
