can i play my ps2 in canada when i bought it from hk? do i need some sort of adapter or anything to make it work?

i think it should work. But you would need a modchip to play there games.

depends. If your plug and standard voltage is the same where you live as it is in Canada then your ok there.
You will most likely also need either SWap Magic or a modchip if the TV format is different then your home region, the TV would also have to be compatible with the format.

I know my NTSC-U system with a modchip will play pretty much anything.
