is it possible to add tags to video files (avi/mpg/mp4)

i was changing the way that my video folder in windows looks and i noticed that when in the "details" view and when you go to "view > choose details" you can add episode name, how do i add an episode name to the description of the video file or add any other file information?

i hope i have explained this right...lol
