If you have a semi-bricked PSP(only wallpaper or theme shows up) and your on custom firmware, don't panic. This will explain what to do.

Step1: Turn on your PSP holding the R-Trigger.The recovery menu will shows up.

Step2: Press Toggle USB and connect a USB from your PSP to PC.

Step3: Download the 1.5 EBoot.Create a new RECOVERY folder in game. Copy the EBOOT inside the directory.(mso/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/)

Step4: IN recovery mode press run program PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBoot.PBP.

Step5: Start the update and wait. After it is done, it will tell you that the update failed call sony for assistance.

Step:5 Wait about 1 minute and the PSP will automatically resit itself.

Step6: When it restarts go to Settings, System Settings, System Information, VOLA!!!

You have 1.5 PSP. If you want to stay on custom firmware because of the awsome recovery mode, just install it again.

Copy link to download 1.5 EBOOT.

If this is confusing I will make a video of it.

Uh... good.

Next time though, just back up your flash0. When you are semi-bricked, just go to toggle flash0, copy your back up flash0 over. Exit. Voila! OE restored.

#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

Don't get me wrong, props for a great job explaining how to go back to 1.5. It's just that it's probably not necessary for most semi-bricks. Always try replace flash0 with the backup first.
