After Flip Top installation PS2 won't turn on.

Hey guys,

Basically as simple as the title says. I followed the directions exactly as described on the Chipzone.com guide, and no matter what I do, when I switch the power button over, the reset/eject buttons don't light up. The silver ribbon inside is still attached at both ends, but at the reset/eject end, part of the actual tape is off the blue tab at the very end (if that means anything). I tried to turn it on without any top on, but that's also a no-go.

It's a v4 (fat) PS2 if that helps. I have about 5 games waiting for me to play, so any help would be appreciated. =)

it sounds like you might have broke your silver cable see if you can connect it togethor agian while trying to turn it on and if it works you know it is broke. not to worry to much though i think you can buy replacement cables, do a search or look at the place you got your flip top from. hope this helps.
