ok, ive got a slim ps2 not modded or anything special. i personally think it isnt worth it. but along with my problem,the basic of it is that it wont turn on.i havent even touched the damn thing in about 3 months and now it doesnt work,its just sat there unplugged.ok,so when i plug it in the light goes red, i press the reset switch and it goes green for about a second and a half then goes back red. in the process of that, nothing ever comes up on screen or anything along thos lines. does anybody know what to do to fix it?

May be some problem with cable RESET/IC cabletht joins the RESET cable with main board or may be moisture or dust condensed in your PS2.
Why don't (if you can) try to open your PS2 and just clean it softly and check if all wires are intact.

yeah,i have it open in my lap now.
the ribbon cable on the reset switch looks fine.
other than that i have no idea how a ps2 slim should look
ive only opened fattys and im more of an xbox man anyway

now that i think about it,could it possibly be the ps2's power supply/converter? gone bad and not the ps2 its self?

Yes that may be a possibility why don't you try other power supply gear(from someone elses slim ps2)
