Only thing i can think of is updating to the latest custom firmware. You can delete the file which activates the network update though. The one you do over the internet.

I've never tried it myself, but I read somewhere 3.30OE and above, the update to sony's is completely disabled. You won't update trough internet or umd. You will get a game cannot run error message. You have to downgrade to 1.5 first, before upgrading to a sony firmware.
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe

its in all psp firmwares not only 3.50!!

dont get a whole new psp its just stuped pay the 37 or so dollers for psp blender geting a whole new psp is STUPED!!!!!!!thats 169 dollers for a few home brew games !!!!!!!!wait for it to happen(the downgrader) or be an idiot (see if i care)get videos from youtube or music or games (from the store) play those or go outside and play socker!!! wait for the downgrader or better MAKE ONE YOURSELF!!!!

i'm gonna buy a new psp which i know has v2.61 from walmart,,, put my old 3.30 psp in the box and return it... Therefore i have a mint condition NEW PSP for $0 dollars and i will then upgrade my new 2.6 to 3.03 and use the downgrader since i have unpatched gta:lcs...i dont think i wanna wait for the 3.1< downgrader ,,, no more patience... wat do u guys think?????? of my genius plan

a) its not a new and genius plan
b) they check serial number and warranty sticker (very hard to swap serials as the sticker messes up and warranty sticker too)
c) you can downgrade 2.6 by upgrading to 2.71 and use that safer downgrader without GTA!! maybe there is a direct 2.6 downgrader cuz i remember using one for one of my psp! yet i would stick with the 2.71 easy downgrader!
o shit it might be a ta-082 so you want to find that version of the downgrader for either way you are going!
