Hi guys,

I hops I am in the right place, I have looked through the fourms to find an answer to this but to no avail. Ithink this may be a simple issue so I hope someone can help me please.

I am using DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter for my back ups. When I try to use DVD Decrypter to burn, I get a warning (I'm sure you've seen this before):

There does not appear to be enough space on this disc to burn this image.

Image size:2,306,747
Image size:2,298,946

It would seem I need to make a smaller image first using DVD Shrink. Is this my problem? If so, can you pls tell me how to do this?

Many thanks in advance guys!

When you use Shrink, you need to set the maximum size of the ISO
before you run Shrink. There are detailed instructions on this
setting at this link:
http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/Guides.htm
I could explain it to you, but these guides are so complete and
so simple to follow. I set my max at 4300. Some people use a higher
setting. However I find this keeps it from writing to close to the
edge of the disc.

DVD Decrypter shoud be able to handle a image up to 4,400,000 in size without any problems.

Is your file system FAT32? - if so this could create probs with ISO files.

NTFS file system would be preferrable.

Do not think it is a Shrink issue.

What media are you using and how much free hard drive space do you have?

DVD Decrypter while still a very good program if used correctly, has not been updated for several years. Would suggest try using DVDFAB Decrypter as an alternative.

If I am understanding you correctly, it soundl like you are using shrink for the full disc, after you open the file in shrink and it goes thru the analyzing part, the file shows in shrink. There is a bar at the top that shows a green bar usually, but sometimes to the right it will also be a little red, if this is the case, shrink the file and save to a location, then open that location and shrink it again, that should take care of the oversized file. Hope this helps.
