recovery mode for crystal chip..??

i got a crystal chip 2.0 pro with 34 firmware and was wondering how u get to the recovery menu to use the upgrade cd...

i used isobuster to get the files off the disc image for the fw upgrade and the chip found it and ran it but now i just get a black screen. no boot from anything. the power stiil comes on and everything seems to run(disc spins) but no more picture? help please!!

ok i got the chip to turn off(press reset 6 times) and my ps2 boots up normally now but i cant get the chip to turn back on or get to the recovery. every time i reset ps2 just boots normally. and my chip was installed professionally.
