I have a 3.02 oe-b psp and i'm trying to play games from the memory stick. I have tried 1 PSX game and 2 PSP games and all 3 gets stuck very soon after the game's intro screen (pretty much right before the game's main menu appears). Any suggestions to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

Nope, not until you mention where you are placing the said games and what games they are. There are too many potential reasons to list without more info.

Thanks for the response..
The 2 PSP games are iso's in the /ISO folder and the psx game is a folder (as an eboot.pbp and keys.bin) in the /PSP/GAME folder.
The only other folders on the memory stick is /PSP/GAME150 (empty) and /PSP/SAVEDATA (save files from 2 other UMD games)

Or the problem could be that you have a custom opening.rco(coldboot)and that screws up psx games.Just replace that with the original and it should work.

Go to recovery, disable NO-UMD. Make sure you have a game umd inserted.

Go to advanced, advanced settings, make sure all 3 options are disabled.

#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

Thanks for all the suggestions.

@ tylerscoo: I don't have an option to set the cpu speed. The only thing i get in that menu is "No yet"

@ silentdan: Not sure where to find that opening.rco file.

@ Blackvamp: Everything is set as you have it and I have the umd of NBA Live 07 in the drive... Still no luck.

Ah, I just noticed you have 3.02oe. The psx games are not supported on it. I would upgrade to 3.40OE then try.

^^^^^

That is 100% incorrect, 3.02 OE + can play psx games. Requires the keys.bin though in order to run unlike higher versions of OE that dont.

Would it be better to just upgrade it?
which version would "best".
Truthfully, not really into all the extra features, mainly interested in being able to play the games.

I would. 3.40 OE is the best imo. All my psp games/homebrew/psx games work fine. 3.02 OE is the only OE I would not recommend.

BTW D_A has begun work on 3.50 OE, so expect that in the near future :)
