ok what settings should i put for my lnb and how do i get into the settings for the lnb.

hi guys, had a look round for the cheapest dreambox i could find and the site i found was the dreambox store uk (www.thedreamboxstore.co.uk) before i buy has anyone bought from these before and are they any good??? ive emailed them and they seem good but would like some advice if someone has bought from them before???
if anyone can help i would be grateful

Resso If your from Australia there is this bloke he sells them dirt cheap fo only $279 Australian Dollars with free post worldwide never trust someone from the UK they always lie as i have bought from Uk heaps of time and have been ripped of. just post back if your interested in purchasing one for $279 Australian Dollars.
Mgb17 My Manuel doesnt have anything that tells you what to put your Lnb Frequency as can you please tell me if you know.

well guys i took the chance with the dreambox store uk and they are really good i bought it at 10:30am and had it the dreambox the nest day fair play they are good id recommend them and there dreamboxes are genuine. just thought id let you all know how i got off

I you use a none standard lnb page 43 of your 500s manual.
You should know which lnb is installed.

i dont think you did mate i had the last one as soon as i ordered one the site said out of stock.
anyway i dont know where to get images from i am going to ask the dreambox store for help.

god these guys are everywhere, just been on ebay now to see how much the dm500-c are going for and they on ebay aswell they have a dm500-s up for auction and a replay pvr c-100 box, whatever that is. there username is ''dreamboxstoreuk''

You should know which lnb is installed.
Default is a standard lnb in the 500s settings.
A standard lnb is for low and highband with LOF 9750 in lowband and 10600 in highband and switched via 22KHz between low and highband and so on.

I am new to dreambox 500 and i just reset my device to factory settings :(
1) I was able to get all the channels back, but was wondering If I have to download any other software ..Can any1 tell me what software and how I can download them?
2) I am trying to record something using my laptop.. I am able to access my device through lan but when I click the Recording button, it gives me this msg: "Record failed due to inaccessable storage"
Can anyone Please tell me what to do regarding those two items? I really appreciate that.

Hello,
can someone help me here, I have a valid sky subscription, but I was looking to change over to using a 500s instead.
This is my master plan:
1. Replace the sky lnb with a dual lnb,
2. Replace the sky pace box with a 500s in room1
3. run a new cable from the lnb output #2 to another 500s in the room2
4. attach both boxes to my home lan.
5. Put the sky card in one box
6. (magic cloud here about cardsharing) :-)
I know I could get just get sky multiroom, but im looking for a new weekend project and this seems more interesting. I may even get a quad lnb to allow me to expand to extra rooms if i need to.
If someone could fill in step 6 before I go buying any gear that would be great!
