way to check what firmware on drive?

Is there a way to check which firmware is on the dvd drive. The reason i ask is because I am going to buy a xbox 360 that has the firmware updated already. I'm just wondering if i could check to see if hes telling the truth.

only way is to run a backup disc.

or dump the firmware and analyze it with a hex editor!

Are you trying to make sure it has the latest ixtreme or just want to make sure it has hacked firmware?

try running a non stealth backup. (this shouldn't work on the ixtreme)

and run a stealth backup also just incase!
