I'm fairly new to the scene and I seem to have showed up at just the right time as the 3.30 and 3.40 OE custom firmware are still fairly new and can play most games. I've heard that the 3.5 Sony firmware has come out.

How much longer do you think games will be made with 3.4 and thus able to use the 3.40 OE?

Everyone's talking about a downgrader, but will a 3.5 OE show up any time soon? Is it necessary to play any U.S. games yet?

When Dark Alex quits helping us out with our PSP's, are there people out there that will pick up where he left off? If no one does, are we going to have to upgrade to the new Sony firmware if we want to play any of the new games?

Dark Alex isn't the only one who knows psp firmware. Just learn a programming language.
