hi, ive just recently bought a 2.71 PSP. i looked at the motherboard to see what number is there and i noticed it had 1C1003. So i was wondering if it is possible to downgrade this PSP?

Also if it is possible, could you please send me the link to where i can get the downgrading software.

all help would be much appreciated.

yes you can downgrade ,but make sure you use the right downgrader

i also found that i have IC6001 on the other side of the UMD drive and it is well hidden. Does this make any difference?

One more question.

Is IC1001 the same as TA-082?

i'm not sure about that numbers, usually to know if it's a ta-082 we look for the motherboard to see if they have the number 1C1003

you need to use the one for your motherboard if you use the wrong one it will brick

one downgrader is for ta-082 and ta-086 motherboards
the other it's for ta-079 and ta-081 motherboards

i think that the ta-086 motherboard can only be found in the pink psp

but you can upgrade to 2.80 and the downgrader supports all motherboards



sorry not to be more clear about this but i think that you have a ta-082 motherboard but i'm not sure and i don't want to brick your psp because i give the wrong information

no dont worry, i havn't bricked my PSP. i am now the proud owner of 1.5 PSP with 3.40 OE-A custom firmware!!!
