hi. is TA-082 motherboard the same as IC1003 motherboard. i read somewhere that if you downgrade your 2.71 psp with a IC1003 motherboard, your psp will be rendered useless.

so i need to know, is it safe to downgrade using dark alex's generic downgrader for 2.71 with a IC1003?

IC1003 is just a way of identifying a motherboard on the psp, so yes, it is the same. no it is NOT safe to use the generic downgrader, u need to use the TA-082 downgrader.

thats weird, i have a ic1003 motherboard and i used the generic downgrader, no problems here, maybe i got lucky?
