The mfg date is the same as what's on your 360? The one posted is a launch console. You bought that used, right?
It should be very east to flash as you won't have to worry about getting a Hitachi drive with 79fk firmware.
This will get you going from start to finish: http://360hax.com/page.php?5
Also, this is an excellent pdf: http://www.360mods.net/tutorial/Textbook.pdf

Dont mess up the warranty sticker!! Blowdry it off and put it on wax paper just in case your console ever gets the 3 red lights since its an older model and you have free repairs..

what the connectivity kit does is let u connect the sata cable going from the 360s drive and converts it to a usb cable that connects up to ur computer. i would def suggest getting it.

Consoles made in 2005 have a different warranty than those made after 2005(2006-200X have one year warrantys). If yore 360 gets the 3 red lights you just call MS and theyll repair your console at no cost

that would have been nice, but i only just realised that i bought a modded xbox 360 which has these x-clamps and some other things to help prevent 3 light error.
can someone help me, i opened the side panels of the xbox with no problems but when i tried to open tha actually case it wouldnt budge. i pressed in a thin screwdriver through the whole on the back of the xbox, it makes a clipping noise but the case wont open.

It has 7 clips in the back of the console(the hardest part of opening the console in my opinion)unclip them.Plus all 360 have Xclamps

heres what the seller of the xbox stated in the ebay listing:
"This Console has been opened and professionally modded to prevent heat issues, heat transfer paste has been replaced with high quality Silver thermal paste compound, in addition the defective "X Clamps" have been replaced with improved fixings to ensure heatsink is in complete contact with the CPU and GPU units at all times, since above mentioned work has been carried out console now runs much cooler than ever before, console has over 20 hours of rigorous bench testing."
how do i unclip the back? i watched the videos and all they do is press a screwdriver or plastic in and it just pops right out. when i do it with my one it makes click noise and thats just it
