With a little more digging i need to relash the psp with psar dumper
info incae any one else cares
Hey guys, I did a search here but did not find a guide on how to reinstall the locationfree player on custom firmwares. If there is, I apologize for wasting space If someone wants to incorporate this into their "How-To" guide, that would be great... Its not my own guide, but a guide I found on the internet by a guy named "pspwner" Original Guide Here ... but I've used this guide and it worked great!!
As you all know, Location Free was disabled to create space for the awesome features of OE. But, for those lucky owners of Location Free, they can now use it with 3.03 OE-C.
***NOTE: In order to obtain the space for Location Free Player on 3.03 OE-C / 3.10 OE, you must sacrifice Japanese fonts.***
***NOTE: This method requires 3.03 OE-C / 3.10 OE, and requires a USB cable.***
***NOTE: This method flashes files to Flash0, and can brick your PSP if you delete anything.***
1. Charge Battery to 75% to prevent bricking during flashing.
2. Download Flash Agent rev. D3 and place in PSP/GAME150/
3. Run Flash Agent on the PSP and: Press X on Recovery Menu, hit left, and X again to disable Japanese Font.
4. Exit by pressing Home.
5. 3.03 OE users download this 3.03 eboot file, and 3.03 PSAR Dumper.
3.10 OE users download this 3.10 eboot file, and 3.10 PSAR Dumper
( Thanks to DJ1and DT2 for the 3.10 info and files )
6. Extract both files and put the Psar Dumper in the PSP/GAME150 folder, put the 3.03/3.10 EBOOT somewhere you will find it later.
7. Download this PBP Unpacker. Once downloaded extract, install and run the PBP Unpacker.
8. Now use the PBP Unpacker to open the 3.03/3.10 EBOOT.
9. Once opened extract the "Data.psar" to the root of your memory stick.
10. Now run the Psar Dumper, press X at the menu.
11. Open the newly created folder F0 ( on your memory stick ), and copy the following files onto your computer:
F0/vsh/resource/lftv_main_plugin.rco
F0/vsh/resource/lftv_rmc_univerpanel.rco
F0/vsh/resource/lftv_rmc_univer3in1.rco
F0/vsh/resource/lftv_rmc_univer3in1_jp.rco
F0/vsh/resource/lftv_rmc_univerpanel_jp.rco
F0/vsh/resource/lftv_rmc_univertuner.rco
F0/vsh/resource/lftv_rmc_univertuner_jp.rco
F0/vsh/resource/lftv_rmc_tuner_jp_jp.rco
F0/vsh/resource/lftv_rmc_tuner_us_en.rco
F0/vsh/module/lftv_main_plugin.prx
F0/vsh/module/lftv_middleware.prx
F0/vsh/module/lftv_plugin.prx
12. Shutdown the PSP and startup the recovery mode.
13. Connect PSP with USB to computer.
14. Click advanced, then Toggle USB (flash0).
15. Copy the lftv files ending in .rco to vsh/resource/
16. Copy the lftv files ending in .prx to vsh/nodule/
17. Scroll to Back, press X, scroll to Exit, and press X.
18. Load Location Free, and set up your settings.
Thats it!!! hope this helps you guys that want custom firmware AND a locationfree player
NOTE: After doing all of this, you may have problems launching your web browser.. if so, just restore default settings on your PSP and the browser should work fine again.. along with your LF player
Update: This also works for 3.30 OE and 3.40 OE firmwares.. just be sure to use the files from the respective firmware.
