Is it possible to play PS2 games on a PSP?

I was wondering if there was a way because i saw someone playing a naruto game on PSP that looked just like Naruto Shippuuden Narutimate Accel on PS2.

If it wasn't that game then which game could it be? I checked on gamefaqs and theres no naruto games on PSP yet...

i thought it was? i jus thought its not recommended cause it takes up 1g and more. I had Shippuden on my but uuuuuuuberr slow..

thanks, and just a little question, is a mod-chip really necessary to play downloaded games?

and do you need a mod-chip to play japanese games for psp?

No. Just upgrade to an OE firmware from 1.5. You probably need to downgrade first.

I don't think you can play playststion 2 games on psp, but I have heard of a way that you can put ps2 games onto your computer and then load onto your psp through a USB cable. Maybe a rumor? Sorry, I do not know anything about your game but they would probably have a game like it because they are both SONY systems.
