Ok so here's the story:

My friend has a PSP with 2.6 Firmware, I think the motherboard is IC1003, and he wants to get to 3.03OE-C, in order, which firmwares would I have to upgrade to first? And then downgrade to 1.5 at a safe firmware to do it, and then upgrade to 3.03OE-C. Can somebody give me a guide on this? Please, it would appreciated as usual.

He should upgrade to 2.71 (cause you dont have to have GTA). Then go Here and find the 2.71 downgrader. Its pretty easy and safe.
