Hi
Fraid not!Wish it was that easy, Dvd's are too big to fit on a dvd-r so you need to make them smaller. Go to the link below and follow the instructions to the letter and it will work.
Let us know how you get on please.

Your first obstacle is the fact that MOST commercial dvd's contain encryption called CSS, this NEEDS to be removed in order for your PC to even access the information - programs know as 'rippers'

Suitable rippers - SmartRipper, DVD Decrypter and Dvd Shrink

Have a look at the guides section and downloads section here at Afterdawn for those proggies.....

Goto http://www.chrismccann.co.uk for a complete guide for DVD Shrink........very user friendly..........after you use that ALL you need to do is burn.....

...............PIO is no go, DMA all the way...............
Beware of the Pixies - they move in over night and turn your life upside down

I got DVD Shrink and I used it on black hawk down. I removed the extras to make it small enough to fit on a dvd-r and saved the new file in a VIDEO_TS folder. My question is what exactly do I do next? Can I simply get Nero 5.5 dvd burning software? Also I tried installing Nero 5.5 but it didn't recognize my Lg dvd-ram drive as a recording device. It detects it as a dvd-ram drive but only as a host, why is that?
