burning bdmv folder to play on ps3?

hi
i have a ps3 and sony Blu-ray burner
i backed up my purshased movies using AnyDVD hd on my pc, the software back them up in a bdmv folder.
i burned the bdmv folder on blank sony bd-re, put it in my ps3, the ps3 recognize the disc as bdmv when i try to play it it wont work it says cant play it. the disk works on pc but reads it as a folder disk and then plays the movie.
i used Nero burning rom 7 for the burning.
my ps3 has firmware 1.8
what am i doing wrong

Are you backing up Bluray movies or DVD? If DVD then why burn to a BD-R and not a DVD. If Bluray then why not convert them to DVD 9 and save 25$ on a BD-R.

coz i have a bluray rewritable and a ps3 an HDTV, and i want to enjoy a full highdef, and because 25gb is not 8gb !!!!!

I am having the same problem. When I put the BD-R into the PS3, it says it is an invalid disc... Help?!

i looked through all the net and found that some people were able to do it yet no explanation was provided.
