OK...AS U CAN C IN MY SIGNATURE IM A VERY STUPID NEWB (DO NOT AGRE WITH ME) OK ALL I NEED ND WANT IS TO KNO WAT COMES WITH DA'S FIRMWARES I KNO FIRMWARE DUH! BUT DOES IT CHANGE THE XMB ???...OR WAT IS HIS FIRMWARE BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL 1.50 FIRMWARE ...BUT 2 PUT DIS IN A NUTSHELL WAT COMES WITH DA'S FIRMWARE??

DA FAMWIRE IT BETTA BECAZ IT HAV MOR FATURES AND CAN PLUY ISO GAMEZ AND COUSTIMAZE DA XMB. 1 VARY GUD FATURE IS DA RUCOVERY MOD AUND JOO CUN PLAY PSX GAMZ AND STOOF. IT WAH BETTA DAN REGALUR FAMWIRE.

Try to learn better grammar and spelling. Anyways, you can only get custom firmware if you are on 1.5. Since you are on 1.5, you can get it. Custom Firmware is way better than 1.5 because you can customize the XMB, play backed up ISO's, and play PSX games. You can't do these these on 1.5. Get 3.40OE-A, you can get it here:
http://dark-alex.org and download custom firmware 3.40 open addition. Follow the readme correctly and do what it says.

uhh.yea i do know proper grammar i just choose not to use it because we are on the internet ...and i don't think its necessary to be proper on it....ok so since custom firmware is way better than 1.5 wen u get custom firmware does it come in like 3.4 3.11 2.71 etc?
