Hi,

I have a Japanese PSP with 3.40 OE-A installed.

I have previously played games from UMD and from my memory stick successfully. But now when I press X at the game, the menu don't make that usual ''Sony PSP sound'' and just freezes.

It all happened when I started changing skins. I tried many times to change the skin, but after I changed the PSP freezed at startup. I then found out that I must convert the topmenu icons to Japanese topmenu icons with a program... I successfully did that and I had finally a custom skin working on my PSP, and it looked great.

BUT then my games stoped working.

I have a backup of the original sony theme. I have tried to put it back on the PSP, but the games still wont load.

Any ideas about how to fix this? Should I try to go back to FW 1.5, and then reflash back to 3.40 OE-A?

What type of games are you trying to load, just iso's/emulators or psx games?

I would reflash your firmware, cause it sounds to me like you forgot to put something back in your flash0 folder or deleted something by accident.

I have tried to load FF1 Iso, GTA LCS UMD and snes9x? emulator, but all of them encountered the same problem.

I may have deleted something from my flash0 folder, but I have a full backup of it, and I have tried to put it back in, but I have no luck.

If I reflash the firmware, you think the problem will be fixed? And how do I get back to 1.5 from 3.40 OE-A? Is it a special downgrader?

I have now fixed the problem. I had another copy of the flash0 folder on another place... Jut transfered it over and my PSP works great now... Peace out...
