sagem dbox2 setup help

hi all
new to the forums, just had a sagem dbox 2 come this morning, it has neutrino on it, but it appears to be a very old version and doesnt pick up any channels, does anyone have a quick and easy setup guide to get me up and running with it? im on t*l*w*st and in the walsall area if thats any help
any advise would be greatfully received as im a bit of a noob when it comes to setting these up

its a neutrino sportstar image, not sure of the version but when it powers on says 2005, so im guessing its way out of date
cant pick up any channels on it either

what transponders are you searching on? the options should be bruteforceUK, Sym6875 and Sym6(something else!)
Looks like i choose the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

i dont get the option to change transponders, if i goto the service menu and do a sevice scan it only comes up with kabel deutchland
have managed to optain a commando image v8.2 to reflash with, but cant find a cross cable, and can seem to change the network to dhcp on the dbox menu

you need the uk cables.xml.
Back up your original image first (incase u need something from it later) and FTP it off.
Settings > Network - u should be able to change the DHCP settings there, thats if you're going thru a router

right, ive managed to install a newer version of sportster by ftp'ing into the box, have done a channel scan, and still nothing, now what?

am searching on symb6875
its found all the channels and i can received the free to air ones (bbc etc) but nothing else
sorry for being such a noob at all this!

Wot version of sportster is it
If your ex Tell*est you should be scanning on 6952
fast scan on
When finished leave it on sk* sports one for 5 mins to update
if it Dont go I have a image here if you want it .............Paul

ok heres what ive done so far
updated to sportster image 1.10 uk 2x
set area to walsall
done channel scan on 6952, created new bouqeut
i can get all fta channels but nothing else
just trying your suggestion of sky sports, will leave it on for 5 mins and let you know how i get on

Commando 8.2 doesn't have the keys installed - PM bigdunc for them, they go into the Var/keys folder (chmod'd to 755)
Then, like the boss says, leave it on a sky sports channel while it decodes.
you'll need to set your softcam (once the keys are on) to evocam - thats seems most stable

i didnt go for commando but sportster instead
have left it on sky sport now for 5 mins and it still not doing anything
if you could provide me with a link for a better image id appreciate it either pm me or email andysimon(at)lineone(dot)net

Dunc - what u reckon, with your experience, is currently the best image?
comm8.2 is good for me, but i was looking at Blade II maybe - what u reckon?

still no joy with the tardis image, and it was an older version than the sportster i already had on
going to try commando 8.2 instead, can you email me the keys?

Leave The tardis on and tell me how you have your scan set up mate
From top to bottom
That image will get you all channels
Set your location via the ble button on the remote
Your sym rate should be 6952 Lets know ............Paul
