I was trying to play DivX on my xbox 360.
I found a tutorial on this forum which I tried to follow.

Two files need to be downloaded but they seem to be unavailable now.

_MediaEncoder2.asx
DVD_Quality_Video.prx

Do someone have this files for me?
Or is there a newer tutorial available on the internet?

Thanks in advance

I can't help you with that particular tutorial, but here's an alternative if streaming is what you want:

There's a program called ORB (www.orb.com) which lets you stream music, photos and videos from your PC to your Xbox 360. You just run the ethernet cable included with the 360 from your 360 to either your modem or to your PC itself. Then you make sure ORB is running on the PC, and you can access all of your music and DivX files on your 360.

Word to the wise: if you have modified firmware, though, it'd be best to hook the ethernet into the PC rather than the modem- that way the 360 won't automatically connect to XBox Live and put you in risk of being banned. I don't think you can connect to XBox Live through the PC without going through the modem first, but I might be wrong.

TVersity will also do the same thing. I started with using Orb but it gave me problems with .wmv playback on a few occasions. After the first chapter of playback, the movie would stop and the 360 would give me an "unsupported format" error. With TVersity, the entire .wmv played fine.

Either way, both Orb or TVersity are quite easy to set up and use.

Also, you can change your 360 settings to not automatically sign in to Live on startup. And you don't need to be signed in to any gamertag for audio/video playback. So as long as you're not signed in, you won't have to worry about being banned.

It runs on the normal Xp, so it should run on Media Center as well.
