BFME 2 Replace .DAT

Ok i have recently 'obtained' Battle for middle earth 2 the pc game and when i did i read some instrutions. and in these instructions it said replace the .DAT file.

could anyone tell me how to replace the .DAT file?

Well, without going too deeply into copy circumvention discussions, "replace" suggests you have a file which will replace another said file, of that same type/name.

So, say you installed this game to c:\program file\Battle for.. - if there is a [whatever].dat file in that directory, chances are you need to replace that with whatever you have to replace it.

Replacing the file would simply be a case of dragging and dropping the file you wish to replace said .dat file with into the same folder and clicking OK.
