Ive been having trouble with backing up games. I followed the steps using DVD Decrypter with the Iso Read/Write format to backup the games, but when i try it on the ps2 it dont work. I read that it could be the media, but I use Sony 16x DVD+Rs, and i had other +Rs and they worked fine. What am I doing wrong? Does it matter the kind of mod I have, could it be that it dont play newer games? Because I have no problem what-so-ever copying PS1 games and they play flawlessly. I even tried using Swap Magic 3. HELPPPP!!!

What particular game are you trying to backup? What version PS2 do you have? What is your mod? Does the load?

Im trying to backup any newer game (Black, Wild Arms 3, Samurai Warriors 1, 2 ect.) My ps2 is a scph-39001 (oldder model) and im not sure the mod, I bought it premodded. I just got madden 07 to work, but only with Swap Magic 3, and I tried the same thing with the others, but I get a black screen when it tried to load. Any idea?

If you only got madden 07 to work with swap magic the other games you are trying to backup might need to be rebuilt. Do a search for the games you are trying to backup and see if they need to be rebuilt or just rebuilt it and try it out that way with Swap magic. Did it ever work before or is this your first time trying? If it doesn't boot any games then I'm guessing your mod chip is bad or your laser is dirty/bad.

Also try burning at a slower speed. And since you're using +R remember to booktype it to DVD-ROM.

Here is the link to the rebuilder tool. Might not work for some games though.

1. Select the Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins drop down list.
2. Select the iso you want to rebuild.
3. Click extract LBA.
4. Click extract file and wait for it to finish.
5. Click rebuild file and wait for it to finish.
6. Click rebuild LBA.
7. Burn the new iso with Nero or DVD Decrypter as usual.

When you rebuild the game it should have given you a smaller size iso. How fast are you burning them and if you're using swap magic how are you swaping the disc? I don't have that game so I couldn't tell you if it works or not.

when i do all of that, the file remains the same in size, but it does add other text documents labeled "ARC THE LAD TWILIGHT OF THE SPIRIT.ISO-Filelist" and "ARC THE LAD TWILIGHT OF THE SPIRIT.ISO-LSN" and "ARC THE LAD TWILIGHT OF THE SPIRIT.ISO-relink-LSN" is this right? If not, what am i doing worng, Im following the description

It should give you a new iso that should be smaller in size. For example if your iso name is Arc The Lad, then the new iso would be NEW Arc The Lad. If it doesn't shrink that mean the game can't be rebuilt and should work with just a straight burn. Some games can't be rebuilt so the one you tried might be one of them. Also have you tried Zoneloader and here is a link for games that might need to be fixed in order to work, check to see if it's on the list.
