I have tried every piece of media I can find and still no buring. In the code is said that I was using maxwell and not the Verbatim I have in the drive so I am just wondering if my drive is going out?

Hi legless77
Yeah I think it's time to get a new burner. This one is a bit on the old side and more than likely the cause.
The firmware is up to date but the last update was from 2004 so newer media like the 16x Verbs may give it problems.

The media code is the log - Disc Manufacturer: MCC 03 - RG20 is Verbatim - Mitsubishi Chemical Corp.

You can try and find 8x or lower media for it but I think your best bet is a new one. They are so much cheaper now.

The code is MCC 03 - RG20 which can be Verbatim or others. See link.

It looks like it does not like the media.

You might try Imgburn to burn with, just to see what happens.

I missed the age of the drive.
It is only rated at 4x max which is slow today.
