Strange TECH Problem..[ NO POWER? ]

Ok long story short...old mobo broke...got another mobo from ebay claimed to be working..got it in..put everything together...

Pressed the power button and the system doesn't power up..it gets zero power

The power supply is fine w/ the orange (inactive) light as usual..

Does anyone have a clue what could be causing this strange problem or help point me in the right direction for answers?

the mobo is probably dead, or not grounded well. make sure all the screws are in grounding it and nothing is hanging from the mobo touching any metal it shouldnt be touching.
