Does anyone know what happened yesterday, I know it was a freq change as opposed to an autoroll...but is this the new approach by provider or was it a HD test or something???

Hi all, long time reader, first time poster.
I'm with N*L in Dublin.
Yesterday, upgraded my box from 257 to 400eE. (Was tired of entering new codes.)
Reset to factory, and did auto scan.
First cpl scans found 10 channels.
Played around a bit, did another scan, and found 93. (Backed up channel file pronto)
However, before I upgraded the firmware, I had ~140 channels.
Dont know exactly what is missing, but notable omissions were BBC3 & BBC4.
Tried fergusrb's manual scan trick, starting at 290kHz however, it only scanned one TP, as opposed to scanning 48 or 51 as tip suggests.
Any pointers?

is the box you are using a clone or genuine box as if it is a clone you will kill it with v4 on it as for my tip on manual scan that was not mine i suggest you do factory reset again and do a full auto scan and wait till it is finished do not stop even when you see failed let it finish and turn your EMU back on you should have all your channels back
no new codes do this
1 Go to menu first
2.factory settings,password code 1668,press ok for it to delete the channels
3.pick your language,english then press ok.
4 go to installation,cable network n**,automatic scan.
5 once its done scanning,press exit exit twice from here
6.now your in the main menu,,press 1570 on remote pad.
7.now your in the cas menu,press the down tab once,to go to emu and turn it on,exit three times to get back to screen and view channels

Yes they done a frequency change in order to add extra channels coming on stream as do sly from time to time but it should be ok for now i would say we have the 3 extra down in kildare already that is why we where not touched it is jetix some golf and another sport or something

John,Apparently N** changed their frequency by 500khz,methinks it was to do with fitting in new sports channels ie lfc tv for the coming season,
hope you dont mind me chipping in fergus

The extra channels are S*y movies 9 and 10 from the old lot and they are Setanta sports ones now the other I am not sure of. Hopefully things will stay quiet for a bit now, although the forum is much better when things are happening.

yes but it can get hard to cope with everyone at the one time the other is jetix a kids channel

Yes, Jetix is a kids channel, i just searched,and the original jetix is stiil therebut with no signal stength coming through,just blank,the new channel for it is showing bad or scrambled channel but signal strength is good,
ran a manual scan on frequency, it catches it but does not unscramble,rest of channels working fine

It is a genuine box, and appears to be working fine after upgrading to v4.
Have tried a few times now
- Reset to factory default
- Select provider (N*L)
- Auto Scan
- Wait until I get a pop-up saying "Info", "XX program found".
Sometimes it scans transponders 1 - 24 and finds 10 channels & no radio stations.
Sometimes it scans transponders 1 - 37 and finds 93 channels & 30 radio stations.
However, I should be getting > 130 channels.

newt, check your cable connections into the box,saw someone here yesterday with similar problem and voila his connections weren´t tight enough,fixed problem straight away

If its still not working then I suggst that you make sure the codes on line 00 and 01 of nagravision are correct, then save each line and back out as usual checking emu is on. On first autoroll on V4 this is what I had to do to get all channells up and running.
Worth a try.

Can anyone post the latest Starview N*L Ireland codes?
Ever since yesterday, I've tried everything to get back my channels, but nothing is working.
So, I'm setting my hopes up that it's just the codes.

Afternoon all, I think you need to do a factory reset again
But here are the latest N** codes
