Fergusrb,thanks for all your info about the starview.Me and a bunch of guys at work all have the same boxes(18 vents) which you say is a clone.A few months ago various people were trying to sort out the differences between a clone and a geniune box and our boxes had the same chip etc as a geniune box.Also we have all flashed them with v4.00 when it came out and touch wood no problems so far any advice or ideas ie should we go back to v 2.56 would be helpful

You need to flash with version 2.57eE fixedif you think you have a clone although your one sounds like a first generation genuine box. Please click the link at the end of my link entitled Starview Keys & Info then click clones for more info.

My advice would be to put the v2.57eu on it to be on the safe side it wont do any harm and could save your box from going dead it is available for you to download at the bottom of my post on the eko site it is the one that says v2.57 eu FIXED ok

no bother scouser i am only around for a short while you could be right about the chip but better not taking the chance just in case you know yourself it wont do any harm to put the v2.57eu on it as this will work for both of them and better safe than sorry i say thanks again see you later on eamo ok

Men and motors has not bee available on the box since the start although it is listed you do not receive this it is available on sly though

scouser is from Ireland but he supports Liverpool :)
Magoo ... I done a manual scan and found DCTV Pilot (Dublin City TV) its on freq 387500 and its the exact same as Community Channel

Guys n Gals,
I was wondering if any of you fellow jedi could tell me how to create my own ch dump as no 1 has 1 for glasgow and its a pain in the ars* when I reformat/ factory reset my box that I have to go through all the chs and put them in order.
any 1 help?

try rebooting your box and a auto scan if that doesnt work they are prob doing work in your area m8

Hi Mc
you first need to get all the channels on your box first then do a sorted list when you have this done you can transfer the channel dump to your pc using the gtrom loader open the loader click on the channel data file then click upload another box will open up put the name for your dump and then press save and it will start uploading the dump to your pc hope this helps you

hi all.
this might be a stupid question but i pressume about dumping, all makes of boxes have their own system,so if i did starview dump it would not work on digivox/eurovox/etc not compatible? i have never dumped before as it never bothered me.
if i do a dump it will be a recycled one ha ha ha lol.
