Hello Ferg,
Thanx for the response, I take it that no future support will be available for the Starview box 1 as pre discussed a good few pages back?
With regards to 2.52 when will this be debugged do you think?
What db would you recommend with regards to forward path amplifiers/ filters since the signals have been dropped by certain suppliers?
And again cheers for the info it is much appreciated.

the freq has been downgraded so all you need to do is re sacn and you will be sorted about the v4.52 few months i would say to make sure there is going to be no difference from what i here so would not worry
Starview 1 no further releases i dont think but you never know lets wait and see what happens

do factory reset turn box off then on again then re scan auto turn your emu back on should sort you out

I also hear it is possible to still get Spy1 in the UK and when I think of it this way when you look at say Spy Movies etc which would normally say press a cetain button as a page is usually in front of the ch pic to block viewing this must be similar for spy1 and therefore must be possible to bypass this and view station.

Well m8,
I would happily swap you the chs as I preffer spy1 to men and roaters.
I was thinking of going Eurovox after New Year but it may have to be Technomate so that I can get Spy1 again 1 misses startrek etc after midnight :)
Although it will be interesting learning how to configure it!

I dont know if I even have to do a factory reset as I get all the chs that are available the only prob I have is that certain chs containing movies freeze every 30 mins or so for about a second and I reckon it may be due to the forward path amplifier and filter may be in the wrong location I also wreckon the ones I have are not strong enough hence why I was probing on what you recommend for db for each. and if you dont mind explain exactly which position each should be?
When I check my sig by pressing Sig button its going up and down like a yoyo and may be causing the issue.

ey KEV lol i think thats got to do with the software your runnin on the box i had that kind aprob to for a while till i upgraded it

Are you using splitter on your box maybe a booster might cure your problem and you will get a bit of freezing from time to time weather as we get it with the real sly as well so not confined to starviews ok

Sorry for jumping in Ferg. Kmac you need a booster with a variable attenuator, you also have to put this as the feed enters your house and then split it from there.
Your signal can also be too strong as well as too weak hence the need for an attenuator.
