It is basically the same as previous except continous support will be available for the box and not for the rest as far as I hear.

4.53/4.54 comes with added features if you go to wizard it will tell you.

EPG is ok if you have your time sorted on your box just takes a while to load in.

:)

well yes thats true you get what you pay for but i've sold lots of starviews to friends and wanna stick with them so i can still keep on top of there's when they do occasionally go down just thought with newer firmware the epg might be a bit better i think they certainly look better in there new shell and as i only paid £140 for 2 boxes with free delivery thats cheaper than most of the clones thats available

They are easier and quicker to install than the rest though I think the Eurovox for cable net work and technomate for astra network are the best and by far better quality.

Hi KMAC, as far as I know, you don't need a splitter for this functionality, it's built into the box, something called loop through. It would look something like this

cable in --O O loop out

loop in O O-- tv out

So you plug your cable into the top left connector, this gives you 1 channel, then a short cable from loop out to loop in, this gives the second channel, and the connection to your tv.
People, don't respond by saying the cable goes in bottom left or whatever on Starview PVR, it is just a schematic to show the setup.

No files on Eamos anymore due to a complaint :-(
