i scanned on dub leg and received channels rte1 101,net2 102 etc i think i am sorted as scanning on u*c all i got was channel 3000,and no numbers on channels with epg.thanks

You have it now that is correct one never scan on the other as you will not get it right ok you will find that box far more advanced than the starview as it uses there freq and there channel numbers and it will be the best box on the block

very confusing as scanned what i thought was right was left .lol
new box with attitude has to be attacked in a new approach,ah getting tired of cable box going on to browse on hotbird sat.

That box when left in standby will pick up any new channels that come out also it is the only box that can use the correct freq as in the providers and also the only one that utilizes the correct channel numbers so this as i said will be the bees knees on the market watch this space

hey geys have star viewww down stairs skymovies an a few more are freezing an flashin an sound off and on! i have the box up stairs and working fine both are using 400eE_api.bin any ideas on sorting this
???

check connections and coxial at back as connection or cc problem,and try powering off box then on

Discovery to launch entertainment channel

Discovery will launch a new general entertainment channel on satellite and cable in January, the broadcaster confirmed today.
DMAX will launch at 10am on January 8 on Sly channel 155 and V***in M***a channel 197 and will showcase Discovery content from the UK and around the world in the entertainment section of the electronic programme guide.
"Research shows that habit drives pay TV viewing trends and around 70% of TV viewing is done within the entertainment section of the EPG," explained Dan Brooke, general manager of Discovery Networks UK. "The launch of DMAX is an exciting move for us - we're taking our most compelling local and global programme hits onto the high street and serving up showcase content to brand new consumers who may not have seen it otherwise."
The move makes Discovery the second major niche broadcaster to launch a showcase channel in the entertainment category of the EPG; on November 8, MTV launched its first channel outside the music category, MTV R.
DMAX will target the male 25-44 demographic; among the programmes to be featured on the schedule will be Miami Ink, Deadliest Catch and My Shocking Story.

checked all the cables all are fine ( wat does cc stand for??) i read back an it seems to b a problem for a few people?? its drivin me mad as is only on a dozen or so channels grr

hi all need some advice. thinking about getting the box (starview 2) i already have the original starview but not what the future holds for it in terms of firmware support. after the v4.00 expires will there be another update or are its days numbered? will i have to purchase the box? also i know this is a starview forum but could some one give me advice on the eurovox max 2008 please. does it run in a similar way to starview, better options, reliabilty etc. thanks in advance

No 51cent dont think there will be any more firmware updates for starview1,but that will just mean manually inputting codes.As for the eurovox i myself find it an excellent box altough there have been some theeting proplems with the maxv, which i havnt experienced but the epg and all is excellent.I read some members singing the praises of the kryptview arnet so i would advice you to do a good search through the forum to let you make up your mind.

Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please
Also
You will need to know if you have a clone or genuine
Count the vents on top
18x7 = Clone
25x7 = Genuine
13x7 = 1st Generation

its a clone but wit the latest remote i think anyways. it has api ver:4.00e_E , boot ver :7.0

If its a clone you need to take off ver 4 immedially as it will kill the b0x , You need to flash with the 2.57_FIXED firmware for clones

changed it back to fixed api seems to do the job all right is 4.0 ok for the box i have it on that too!! must get uncles sv done too it has 4.00 he will killl me ! thanks for all the help much oblidged id b lost without ye

Check to see if they are clones too , if they are clones then the 2.57_FIXED will be fine and if they are genuine then the ver4.00 is ok too
Clones = 2.57_FIXED
Genuine = 4.00
