well lads and lassies I'm glad to report I flashed sv lastnight with new fix and its working a treat has update 3 times so far tonight so thats 3 code inputs I'd have had to go through, i would recommend this fix for a sv 1 genuine anyway

You couldnt have said a better word Richy :) , When the codes change , the code pages are updated instantly , Then at least 20 - 30 NEW threads are made with people looking for codes , I/WE havent got the time to answer every post made , its like some members dont even search for them , they want to be spoon fed and I certainly havent got the time and patience to do so , Personally I log on when the codes change , update the codes page and come back later on when it calms down a bit , and even at that , its still hectic lol , OK rant over also :)

Sorry your post was missed Reds ... My opinion would be lol .. If it has 18 vents and scarts to the left , its seems like a clone , if you think the inside looks like a 1st Gen , then the new firmw@re will be ok , Personally , I would wait till the CLONE FIX is released , but its up to you really , I dont want to tell you to update it and then a few days later its blown up , the desicion is yours lol :)

thanks celtic, was worried i had said something wrong as my post seemed to be invisible a few times, but really did appreciate your help, will probably wait for now..i can cope with putting codes in for the now, its not too much to ask compared to taking chances and losing the box for good..again thanks for your advice, always good, honest and straight to the point. please dont you ,scouse or moggser leave the thred, the rest of us would be lost without you. thanks again

Hi guys the codes went down this morning 17-04-08 for S/V 1 clones on telepest liverpool area. The new codes are on my PM page. as it is not on the codes page.

hi all, i have a clone st*rview which had pic freezing problems so i replaced the faulty leaking capacitor as per instructions, now the box is dead and won't even turn on, would it need to be jtagged or is it another problem, it was working up until replacing the faulty cap. thanks

[celtic would ye be able to help us out.i have starview /null modem cable,emos library /gtrom file/but cant get 4 bin file.is it the top file with most recent date in firmware folder.this one i tryed box was regiged but went down again today.please help im lost now

hi, would appreciate if anyone can help with the following
i'm trying to find out what the most up to date firmware is for a starview 1, clone and for a 'the box' for n*l ireland.
from reading recent pages, am i right in saying that we are waiting (hopefully) for updated firmware for the starview clone boxes ?
on emo's library for the box there is firmware for ireland that is 450eE but there is another that's 454eE.
by the way many thanks to the members /senior members who provive all the answers and help links.

as far as i know there is no fix for the clones as of yet and I don't raelly know anything about the box, I fixed a SV 1 genuine and its updating fine I used the fix in eamos library
