Hey everyone, I have (had) a fairly big DVD collection. I had back ups of all of my DVDs fortunetly, saved away at a family members house. I threw a party, and to my surprise all of my originals were gone the following morning when i woke up. I have gotten my back ups back, but now since this happened once already it might happen again. How can i Rip them with #1 DVD ripper, and burn them with Nero Express? I have tried one, but it is only capable of being played on my computer and the quality is not near as good. I ripped it into SVCD, is there a way to rip or convert to IFO, or BOT (I know the IFO exsist, but not sure of the other dvd video formats.)

Your help would be much appreciated, as I hate sitting in front of my small computer screen to watch movies. Thanks

Well, this is what I use and I think the rest of the forum will agree.

RIP WITH- DVD DECRYPTER

CONVERT/SHRINK- DVD2One OR DVD Shrink BOTH GREAT PROGRAMS

BURN- Nero 5.10 OR 6 VERSION OR RECORDNOWMAX

There isnt really much point in using any rippers since they are already ripped (ie Back-ups) so i wouldnt agree with revsitup.

All you need to do is right click on the DVD Drive -- Explore --> select all files --> copy and paste to a directory of your choice. Once you have done this, burn with Nero as DVD ROM UDF/ISO inside the VIDEO_TS folder that should have been copied from the back-up. If the back-up was not created right, make a folder called VIDEO_TS folder.
