G'day all, I still cannot retrieve file after downloading to hard drive regardless of it being there when I go into drive C, from either DVD decryptor or Shrink. Have tried different things to no avail. Any help greatly appreciated.

Do you mean 'downloaded' as from a website?
Or is it a file that has been 'Ripped' from a DVD that you wish to Shrink or burn.
What do you want to do with the file and what program do you want to open it with.

Sorry Attar I did mean backup.
I am wanting to copy a movie using Shrink.
Shrink is backing up, but I go into "C" and I can see that the movie is there but Shrink and DVD decryptor tell me that the file doe's not exist.

DVD Decrypter will only load it's source from a disk or an .ISO (image)
DVD Decrypter will write it's output to an .ISO or a File Folder

If the disk was ripped (saved to the HDD) with DVD Decrypter you opted to save it as an .ISO (image) or as a File Folder and you gave them names and a location or accepted the defaults.

There are three options in DVD Shrink for opening a DVD:
'Open Disc' (the drive with a disc in it)
'Open Files' (the file folder containing VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS)
or 'File' > 'Open Disc Image' (an .ISO file)
To open a video file folder with DVD Shrink , you have to browse to 'VIDEO_TS'

DVD Shrink can output to a Folder or an ISO .
