once again, am sorry if this is in the wrong thread...

will someone please help with the windows xp services....i have windows xp sp2, and am on a local network in a university hostel.. the Server service has suddenly disabled itself, and no longer appears in the Services application from Control Panel>Admin Tools>Services .....as a result I am not able to share any files on my network and neither can i access any other pc on the LAN...

please can someone tell me how do i bring it back, and enable it...

i would be very grateful....
