try vlc player first,then
make sure you have the correct codecs
download GSpot,i think they take bin files?
If not,you may need to open the bin with isobuster, and extract the mpeg first
anyway,try it and see
http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
it will tell you if you have the right codecs installed
If you havent, get one of the k-lite codec packs
Seems a lot of work i know, and there is probably a more simple answer, hehe
besides, why dont you just burn it onto a cd disk?,it will play on your standalone dvd player

Me again :)
I downloaded a codec pack and it now plays with sound on my PC, but I can't get it to play on my stand alone DVD palyer? It is 800MB so I can't burn it to a 700MB CD. As mentioned I burned it to a DVD as a "data' and that didn't work either.
Anymore thoughts?
Cheers,
Grabbie

.bin is an image file.
I don't know what you use to burn.
If you are using Nero then just drag and drop the bin file onto the Nero icon, put in the blank, set the speed and click burn.

Hi eggtoast,
Thanks for replying, I have downloaded VCDEasy but it won't let me add the .bin file? What do you mean by (raw to mpeg) please excuse my ignorance.
Thanks,
Grabbie

OK I think I have converted it to mpeg.
But it still won't fit on a 700MB CD-r - if I try to burn it as a DVD it won't fit on that either?
Cheers,
Richie

i use vcdgear for my bin files, like i said raw to mpeg(raw meaning raw image file thats what your bin file is)it changes it to mpeg.install codecs if you havent got them, k-lite full is good set of codecs.install convertxtodvd and load your mpeg file, this will convert it to dvd format and burn it on2 a dvd.

some people just burn with nero on to either a cd or dvd , if u put the cue file in nero it will burn it on2 a cd,or place mpeg file in to burn onto a dvd, some dvd players might not play the cd's tho..

Ah success finally.
Managed to burn it as data onto a dvd and it now plays on my dvd player.
(Unfortunately it is a crap movie)
But at least it plays.
Thankyou all very much for giving me your time and experience.
I really appreciate it.
Cheers,
