do you still need bitsetting on your dvd burner to burn 360 games?

or is that a thing of the past?

i'm not sure about this one, but almost ALL recent DVD DL burners can bitset.

so you should do it no matter what.

Bitsetting is NOT important, it was thought that it was once a long time ago but now, as long as your equipment is upto date its of no consequence

I'll help anybody who needs PSP help but only if you've helped yourself first - Everything the scene knows is self taught. What makes you spoonfed n000bs special?

PROJECT EE IS A FARCE!! THE REAL SCENE HAS SPOKEN - n00bs with an idea but no coding skill does not make a firmware.

The above is not quite correct unless they have released a newer firmware for Hitachi drives that solves previous issues.

Hitachi drives allways needed to have the games bitsett( booktyped) to DVD-Rom in order for them to even work.

And it is important as booktyping to DVD-Rom can really help with compatibility in your system since that is the format that original games are in. Personally my burner can booktype and is set to do all DVD+R and DVD+R DL as DVD-Rom and i have a 100% successs rate with 360 games.

yes i believe thats correct. Espcailly for stealth detection, the first thing they are detecting is whether a game is booting from DVD-ROM or DVD+R, and if you can't even pass that test... If bit typed to DVD-ROM, there is not difference between that and a burnt disc to teh drive.
