Forgive me for not "following the rules", but I have been using Nero Smart Start for a little while for backup purposes, and only recently acquired a DVD Burner. While trying to make a backup of one of my favorite DVD's, I logged this report. Can anyone translate this for me and/or show me where to go for help?
Thank you very much :)

for one thing you don't have much memory, try turning off other programs that you are not using to free up some memory, also it would be a good thing to post this in the Nero forum, another thing you are using cheep media, get some better media like verbs, fuji, tyuden

Your Ritek discs have nothing to do with the problem. People are too quick to blame any medium but Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden for every problem, including forgetting to press the power on button. Buying Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden in your case will just waste other good discs.

You are trying to record on the fly with precious little memory reserves. On-the-fly recording means that one drive is reading and trying to correct data as fast as it can while trying to keep up with the demand from the system and the recording drive to get data through as fast as possible. If even a piece of dust gets on the disc being copied, the system can hiccup no matter what disc is in the recording drive. It is better and safer to record first to the hard drive so that the computer can concentrate on correcting errors from the master disc before sending the corrected data to the recording drive. Your Ritek media are perfectly suitable discs and not a part of the problem at all.
